The new wonder horse among the Humbaur horse trailers

With the new Humbaur Areion Humbaur is setting new standards in terms of space, design elements and practical features for safety and comfort. This will be presented for the first time by and with the creator Lena Wagner at the Equitana from 6 to 12 March 2025 in Essen.

The name Areion is no coincidence, because its origins, like all other Humbaur horse trailers, lie in ancient Greek mythology. This name was given to a wonder horse that was incredibly fast and could even speak. The new horse trailer also is a byword for certain superlatives. With an internal height of 2,380 mm it is around 8 cm higher, and at 1,700 mm it is around 7 cm wider and at 3,550 mm over 25 cm longer than most competitors and offers a high level of comfort for the horse. The tailgate is also 20 cm longer than previous horse trailers at 170 cm allowing a 3° flatter entry angle. Like the Greek wonder horse, the new Humbaur horse trailer also demonstrates intelligence. It is equipped with removeable feeding troughs and two hay-net hooks that can be adjusted in airline rails and are easily accessible for particularly easy handling. The chassis was also redesigned specifically for horse transport and the horse’s anatomy. The stable and torsion resistant substructure guarantees optimal road holding and ensures the longevity of the trailer.

The Areion is available in three different versions: the Pure version with a permissible total weight of 2,400 kg and basic equipment, the Pro version with a permissible total weight of 2,700 kg and professional equipment, including, for example, a rotating and pivoting tailgate, and the Shape version again with a permissible total weight of 2,400 kg and extensive design options. The poly-side panels, with a free choice of colours, can give the Shape variant a special and individual look in a perfect form. All three model variants are also available as a Western Edition, which is additionally equipped with a western saddle holder and motif on the side walls.

All model variants have a pull out saddle holder, LED-Stripes with white and blue light colours in the interior and an AluBiComp floor for greater and continuous stability as standard. Thanks to its sophisticated composite panel construction (two cover layers made of specially coated aluminium sheets with a polypropylene plastic core), it is rot-proof and robust. This means that the AluBiComp floor can easily withstand highly concentrated loads from heavy horses (thickness 21 mm). On top of that, as always, Humbaur offers a full 15 year guarantee for the floor of the horse trailer.
